I ordered a Hatson Optima Marine Guard from SFRC. My question is, will this Hatson take a side saddle? Also does anyone have any opinions on the Marine Optima? Will I be pleasantly surprised for spending 360$ on Turkish shotgun?

I have one and like it. Get a recoil pad though. I have shot other 12g no problem but my Hatsan gave me some good bruises.

I have a couple. They will have diffuculty taking side saddles due to the short stroke that brings the forend back over the receiver. They are great shotguns that cycle really smooth and and perform consistently.

OP, you bought an awesome shotgun. Of course, I have the Marine Guard myself :)D)

I don't believe it will take a side saddle mounted on the receiver, simply because the forend comes back a long way over the receiver. I use a side saddle from Uncle Mike's on the buttstock and it works great! Holds 7 rounds, and is hook-and-loop, so that you can peel it off the stock and slide the rounds into the loops, then just put it back onto the Velcro that stays on the stock.

This is the second Hatsan shotgun I've owned (sold the first one to a buddy-he offered me MORE than I paid for it :D) and I've never had a problem with either one.

no they will not take a shotshell holders that mounts via the trigger pins, due the length of the forend.
The one we sell fits the MPA semi auto no problem.
That said should have some 4 shots later this ear as well as some 8 shots for the MPA
