So a buddy of mine sold me his almost new (<100 rounds) for a great price

My only complaint is it's .40 s&w. (Anyone know where I can't get the 9mm converson)

Anyways more to the point of my post

What accessories do I want to put on it?

I am wondering if I should get a holo and magnifier combo. Or a 4x with a 45° red dot/iron sights?

And what is the different between a angled grip and a vertical? Which is better and which should I go with?

Are those kci 10/30 mags worth it? They look bulky and cumbersome

And is there any other accessories or can think of or recomend it would be appreciated

When I get her built I will post some pictures

Hey dude,

As for the conversion, I have no clue. Do you have a stock pile of 9mm ammo already? If not, stay with .40. Aint nothing wrong it.

As for accessories, thats gonna be a personal preference. I find that when people go to crazy on dressing up a gun it looks goofy and become heavy and cumbersome. Just stick with the basics (EX: maybe a new stock as the factory one is plain jane boring, forgrip, optic and flashlight). I would stay away from mounting lasers, spoons and kitchen sinks as its non essential)
As for optics, I myself would go with a simple red dot. For a .40 cal rifle, I think that the magnifier again would be over kill. But then again it depends on what your application would be for that gun. If your going to hunt small game, yeah go with a scoped system. If its nothing but paper, I would go red dot,

As for for grip, the difference between an angled and vertical will be how you place your hand on the grip. The angled forgrip was created by magpul and I truly think is more flash than function. A vertical grip has been around for a long time and is more natural. Saying that it again depends on how your going to mount and fire the weapon.

As for mags, I would stick with just the regualr 10 round pistol mags. The extra length looks goofy on a pistol calibre rifle and is only going to get in the way and add extra weight.

Keep it simple and dont put too much tacticool stuff on the gun.

I use the KCI 10/31 9mm mags for the simple reason that I can actually get 10 rounds into them. If you've ever used Glock mags you'll know what I mean.

If you do irons you may have to secure the rail a bit better, especially if you add a fore grip or bipod. Mine shifts under recoil since adding a fab defense t-pod. I just bolted a scope riser rail on it to hopefully prevent movement. Looks a bit goofy, but I don't care.

My JR is 45ACP btw.
