So i carry 2 rifles when i'm out hunting...

I cann't find it in the reg.s but I believe it's illegal to carry more than one firearm while hunting in Ontario...

This is the case in Nova Scotia.

Not just one firearm either, one gun, one bow, whatever, you can have only one.

For me I do a set up with my M88 in .308 with a Bushnell Elite 3200 3x9x44 on top for all my hunting. I have since acquired additional rifles I will soon be using and pack for grouse and other small game my 28 gauge SxS. Though usually I don't pack both guns when I'm walking the trails.

Skid the BRNO and get a good Remington Pump in 30-06. Not a long barreled gun but plenty accurate from 25-350 yards. Ammo readily available everywhere, it will take down anything if operator knows how to shoot.

Wrong on what part...the 2 gun part...or the migratory bird part?

Because I've read the Ont F & WL Cons. Act 1997...and have never been able to locate a section stating that hunting with more than 1 firearm is illegal.

2 gun part...

It depends on seasons that are open and restrictions, etc.

For instance, you cannot carry a 223 with you for coyotes, while you are hunting for deer in a shotgun season, or a bow season.

That is obvious.

I'm talking about using 2 firearms which comply with the seasons that are open...example: shotgun and rifle, for hunting coyotes right now.

You CAN hunt with 2 firearms at once, you just have to be aware of ALL open seasons and limitations.

Oh...so then, is it a myth or not??

You've posted up information that if someone was to believe, could get them in charged.

That is why a prudent person would never completely trust information obtained from the internet.

I have read the relevant legislation, and I am confident in my research...therefore, my mind is at ease.

I think everyone should read and understand the F & WL Cons. Act (1997), and have a thorough knowledge of the different seasons/ limitations placed upon them in their particular area. :)

the main reason i carry 2 is that i've seen far too many winchesters break in the wrist area- esp if a horse stomps on it, or it "falls funny'- i know it's extra weight, but it's also insurance

two guns work well for stand hunting yotes but i do not see much good for anything els .a shotgun and a center fire well hiding and calling yotes is legal in ont .any good center firewill shoot just as good at 30 yards as 100yards .most guys forget to shot there center fire guns at close range to be sure of there P O I .thy make sure thy can hit at 100 or 200 but not a 20 or 30 why not DUTCH
