So, I decided to camo up my B&C stock...

I picked up a B&C stock during Phophet River's last sale. (good price, always great to deal with!)
The stock is olive green with black webbing which was fine but a little boring to look at, so I decided to try my hand at a home-grown rattle-can camo job.
I used my GAP Crusader as inspiration and tried to replicate the GAP Camo pattern on it's stock...I think it turned out pretty good...not bad for a first try anyway.

The rifle is a custom build on a 1975 Rem 700 .308 action.
Here's what's been done to it:

- 22" Benchmark barrel, 1:11 twist, 5R rifling, 5 grooves.
- Action trued by Guntech
- Trigger Tech trigger installed...(it's awesome!)
- B&C stock
- CeraCoat finish by ATRS
- Leupold VX-I 3-9x40 scope with Talley Lightweight mounts

Really nice job. I see a potential for a Mule Deer stencil placed in the green around the action/barrel area to make some final touches pop:) Great first attempt. Elky....

It looks good. Nice 700 you did up.
Personally I would have went with a darker tan to keep it more close in colour scheme. But to each their own.
Let us know how the paint stands up after some use.

Thanks! Yes, I thought that tan was a bit light too and might change it later, but the "GAP Camo" uses the same "light tan" colour...I might stick with it...or not.

Anyway, it was fun to try...we'll see how it stands up.

Here's what it looks like on the G.A. Precision Crusader.

Adds a nice look!

How are you liking that BDL stock from B&C?
I put one on my Whelen, best stock fit for me I've found yet. I agree that Trigger Tech sure is nice!
