K guys, so I emailed Thureon Defense and asked them if they knew anything about the classification of their product or if they intended to import any carbines into Canada like a month ago and still havent even received a reply in any form or manner.

I would at least like to know they got my email!

So do any of you know when the Thureon carbine will make its way to Canada?

The lower 'looks' like an AR. It will be deemed an AR Variant. Of that I have no doubt.

If it was non-restricted, and took pistol mags (which it doesn't), it would sell well.

If it's restricted - we already have more than enough proven 9mm carbines up here. There would be little value for the manufacturer in jumping through all the hoops to sell a few units up here.

I know for a fact that they are coming to Canada, and that the importer has been working with them for a long time (years). There are pistol and rifle versions for Canada. I'm sure more news will be forthcoming when it's available.

Price is under $900.

I just recieved this:

Thank you for your inquiry about dealers. We have just updated our web site
to include a list of dealers who are carrying our guns. We will try to
update this list regularly, so check back often to see if we've added a
dealer in your area. If you know a dealer that you think might be
interested in carrying our products, send us their name and address so that
we can contact them.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.

Andy Huebschmann

and then this right after:

We are currently working at exporting our carbine to Canada. As soon as we
get all the paperwork in order, we will let you know. We'll also send along
a list of our Canadian dealers at that time.

Thanks again for your interest,

Andy Huebschmann

There is still some time to wait... paperwork's a b*tch.
