hello everyone!

I am a 24 year old guy, i live in montreal and i just got my restricted pal!

I have been shooting non restricted guns with my dad since i was a kid and decide a bit before christmas it was finally time for me to do the classes and get my permit!

Bad idea!!

So since last week i just got a membership at CTM, i bought myself a glock 17, a stainless browning buckmark and i am seriously looking at a deal on a AR-15
I think i'm hooked!

I hope to meet some of you guys, it's always fun to talk about people interested in guns and go shoot!

Most of my friends don't like guns and are against the idea of owning some, so i have basically no one to go to the range!
 
Welcome to CGN, the world of handguns and AR's :ar15: and also to CTM! :)

Buckmark... wise choice. Now if you get an AR, make sure you get some LAR Pistol mags, the .22 kit and order up some .22 mags from Brownells for when you run out of .223 (which is REAL fast!) :eek: :evil:

Sorry, I'm not a Glockie like most here. :(
 
I am really happy with the Buckmark and i had a good deal on it. As for the glock i'm kinda having mixed feelings with it for now!

as a first handgun i still think it was a good choice, reliable, easy to use and with a good resale value

My problem is : the more i shoot with it the more i'm thinking i don't like the feel of it!
I'm having a bad flinching problem with it and everything i tried didn't work, i know that flinching is usually caused by the anticipation of recoil but i actually shot better groups with a Para in .45acp
So i'm starting to think that the Glock might not fit my hand as good as i thought

it's a bit overwhelming there is so many choice and with so little budget lol

i'm kinda stuck right now, i have two deals one on a AR-15 and one on a CX-4
i just don't know what to choose!
plus im going broke, it's a tough hobby on a student budget

and i didn't even tell my parents yet , my parents are ok with hunting guns, they didn't like the idea of the handguns but now try to explain your parents why you bought an assault rifle lol
