So I had some work done on my CZ...

I`d be interested in some info about the shroud ,who it`s made by and how it`s attached, rather than make my own.

Ahhhh....nevermind the first question, found the shroud at Wolverine, although I believe yours is a different make/model ? How was the install?

Thankyou

Paul T

Where did you find it at wolverine?

It may look better to you , but it sure wont shoot better with that short sight radius and something hanging off the barrel... Nice job turning a nice practical rifle into a wall hanger.. Its your property though just my opinion . Seems like many people in the black and red rifle forums care more about how their guns look than shoot ?? I guess they dont get much trigger time maybe and spent most of their time looking at them .. their tools not jewelry to me.

I used an mock suppressor, bored out one end of it so it would slip over the barrel, and then put it on backwards so it covers the barrel, got the can off some random airsoft site, just had to measure the length from the front of the gas block to the end of the barrel.

Cost varies depending on how much your smith would charge you to cut and tig weld the front sight onto the gas block, or if you want you can try to source an FSN01K gas block with the front sight built in, i had sourced out 3 originally, it was quite a lot of work digging the internets for them!

ended up getting them out of the Czech republic if i remember right... it was a few years ago tho.

easiest way to replicate this would be to cut and weld the front sight, as its cheaper and much less hassle than trying to source an FSN01K gas block

Thank you.

Oh.

I was looking at an old thread and saw an add for a CZ858 aftermarket shroud sold by Wolverine ,although I`m not sure if it`s still made or sold by them.To be clear, I do not have that shroud by them, but it would have been a great option ,albeit not cheap.

It could be worth emailing Wolverine when they get back after holidays and ask about it, as I may do myself.

Cheers

i guess that 351 mustang of your is a daily driver then hey, you offroad it too? no? what a WASTE OF MONEY.

seems like your more worried about what people do with their own time and money, some people like to wear "jewelry" and some don't, who cares

and to the others asking how much, well depending on your gunsmith i would imagine somewhere between 3-500ish to relocate a site. At least around me

You guys did a great job. Does the new barrel setup affect accuracy? Thx

Nope, the can weighs next to nothing, and is actually supported front and rear so it probably actually weighs less than the original sight hanging off the end of the barrel.

.... If anything, it's more accurate now because I had it recrowned, as the crown was kinda buggered when I frst got the rifle
