So I hate thread protectors

I like a thread protector to keep the barrel clean and short. if I were going to put a "functional" muzzle device on a 22 maybe something like a surefire war comp? keep the muzzle a little flatter. or just a standard birdcage flash hider.

I have Dlask XB-5 linear brakes on both of my Dlask barrels (one 12.5" and one 16"), more as thread protectors than as brakes. Seem to work just fine.

I like the Spectre Ballistics Hex brake, this is on a .223 and makes a noticeable difference. Barrel size is .690 for size comparison to what others may have.

Changed out my tikka one with just a stainless plain version that is a bit longer which will protect the crown it did not change the grouping but im sure if you add lot of weight up there you might change the harmonics witch would make things better or worse or like mine the same.
