So....I just ordered a Dillion 550c

I'm curious OP, where did you buy it? I've been wanting a 550b for some time. I have saved at least 2000 brasses of various calibers waiting for the day.

Got it X-Reload. I really like it so far.........having a hard time right now finding enough powder, etc to feed it....lol

Be prepared for for breakdowns.
In 15 years of heavy use my 550 has suffered two.
First failure was when the primer bar return spring snapped.
Second was the bell-crank cube wearing out and splitting. I replaced the spring with an exact duplicate I found at Home Hardware.
The bell-crank cube I contacted Dillon about.
Sure, they didn't charge me for the part and even covered the $9 in postage... They even sent me two, but it took a week for delivery... Effin' BS.

Just got my 550c in the mail a couple days ago, setting it up tomorrow.

You guys with the .223, do you clean the brass after neck sizing? I bought a spare tool head so I can have a sizing die only, and was planning on going through following steps:
1. Decap
2. Wet Tumble
3. Lube and Full Length Size
4. Clean off (another tumble or use towel to wipe)
5. Trim & de-bur
5. Run through 550 with no die at stage 1 (so I can stay in rhythm)

It's certainly more steps than when I do 9mm. Am I overdoing things?
