So I sent my gun to get cerakoted part 2 Sg542 zombie slayer

So what was the motivation for this umm, modification and why not paint all of it (picatinny rail and fore end/sights are still un-molested), plus how long did it take at the shop total.

Colour is awesome! But the actual craftsmanship on the tiger stripe is just bad... I have been wanting to get a rifle painted and your guy is only a 20 minute drive away but I guess I will be looking elsewhere.

Ah right. He's violating the Garish Colours Act of 1977. While initially introduced to ban tye dye and keep the hippie hordes at bay, the act effectively legislates taste across the country. Of course the House has to modify the list of prohibited colour combinations every five years or so to keep with the trends. I think you'll find this particular combo is on the original list of colours that "should never be seen together" that have been explicitly banned since the initial draft.

I've been thinking, and now that it's here . . . it's just as amusing as I'd imagined. You should wear a clown nose to the range with it to complete the ensemble.

Wow. Sorry I doubted you. I really thought you just had some kind of Andy Kauffman like sense of humor and just got off on getting people riled up on "ruining" a rifle many of us can't even afford. I hope its everything you dreamed it would be. Please post hidden camera footage of spectator's at the range when you shoot this thing.
 
You could probably walk around in public with that on your back and people would think its a toy. Not that I'm recommending it.
