So I think I'm gonna do it...

I don't know what to say other than if you like the G20 so much you really do need to try out the G29... :D

Haha oh man Cam and here we go again! :D The G29 is nice, I'm stilled stunned Glock actually offers it, it's one of those gun show guns that you never figure will actually make mass production but whadda ya know, they've been selling tons of them. Gotta give Glock credit full throwing its full might behing the 10mm. A few months ago, I actually did come very close to buying a G29, but then more and more have become quite content with the G20 and 627. Still haven't gone through the hoops for my ATC, way I see it I have two avenues, I fly to remote locations and I'm also a physical geography major, so I can easily get into the prospecting end, something I'm interested in anyhow. I'll see if it's possible to have both reasons listed on the ATC, and the G20's the gun for that task as well.

The G20 comes stock with a 4.6" barrel and I ordered my G29 with a 4.25" barrel so velocity differences are almost non-existant.

I bought Pearce grip extensions which gives me a better grip on the G29 mags as well as a couple of G20 mag spacers for my G20 mags for when I want to have a full G20 grip on the G29. (Yes it then feel exactly like a G20)

I now finally have my Utah CCW permit so the G29 will double for a CCW gun. It actually fits my body better when I am packing it in the strong side 4 o'clock IWB position than my smaller G23.

I have been trying to decide on a couple of semi-auto handguns to give my son and just can't decide which ones I want to let him have.

Probably the G23 and my Colt Delta Elite but then again maybe the G20 now that I have the G29...

I also saw a new Kimber Stainless Target 11 chambered in 10mm in a store on Friday evening, I was in another province last week when I saw it and I am still trying to decide if I am going to make an offer so I am not saying where it is yet. :D

Anyway I have to say I agree with you're reasons for keeping the G20 I was only playing devils advocate...

True enough! The Kimber is an amazing gun Cam, among the most reliable tilting barrel semi autos I've ever owned, and the absolute most accurate. My stainless II .45, which I still have though it's leaving soon, will cycle even 200gr bullets at a mere 400fps on a fresh spring. Apparently, in 10mm, it just gets better. 1911's like long cases, as you're undoubtedly familiar with from the Delta.

I gotta agree with you on the Glock thing. I got the 19 myself and would never consider selling it. I was a little surprised when you let the Kimber go though.

All the talk about selling your toys Angus but you can't tel that Norinco go.:D

Well you know me...........The Glock 20...:)

You're sh*ttin me? :D

There's a lot of handguns I like to better for target shooting, and admiring (the G20 practically never gets fondled at home), but none would even come close if I needed a sidearm in a nasty situation. Heck, I quite like it just banging away on the range too anyhow. I need to pick up a 3.5lb disconnect for mine though.
