So I am setting up a bunch of items to be brought in by my importer from the u.s. and i found a smokin deal on a new troy mcs chassis..... problem is.... questar figures it won't even get permission to be exported.
Garbage.... silliness..... this has ruined my party
anyone else run into this issue? I had one in my mitts the other day thanx to Echo Charlie droppin by for some show n tell :D but.... his made it into canada..... so what gives.

anyone???

but do they have any?
last time i checked with a buddy who had one on order...... he was still waiting.... and waiting
i'll check with cqb presonally
thanx ;)

A company I deal with refused to let me buy -----Calipers----because they are on the "restricted" list for export to canada. They are afraid that I will re-export chinese calipers to china or somewhere.

I honestly don't think they will ever come into Canada (legally) - Even if the US allowed them to be exported... they have the M14 selector "cut-outs" (doesn't that make them Prohib'd for import?)

I deal with a different importer (than questar) for my used usgi fiberglass stocks. They come through just fine in thier unaltered , selector cut present state, fully declared. I'm not sure why others are having issues but i haven't had a single order turned back and ALL of them have been opened and contents inspected on both sides of the border. 60 stocks later and 25 more on the way...... already clear customs :D

It seems that anything m14 related that is currently playing a role overseas... "apparently" is verboten for us canadian civvies according to u.s. state dept , this is what i was told... in more official terms of course, when i called to enquire about export permit.

Oh well... we shall keep our pinkies crossed that cqb or another souce can make the mcs availlable

Any and All USGI M14 parts are on the restricted export list and require U.S. Export permits to be legally exported outside the U.S.

This is why it is tough to get USGI parts in Canada these days......................

SKBY.
