Barret 98b - .338 Lapua Magnum

Probably the nicest gun I have ever fired, or even seen. Recoil is no greater than my .308, with the huge muzzle break. I don't know much about the gun, but at 150 bucks a box for ammo I can't understand why anyone would buy it. Let alone the price tag of $6000. I mean where are you even taking 1000 yard shots in southern Ontario anyhow?
 
looks to me like a barret 98b .338 lapua magnum, I tought barrett was prohibited by name :O
good on hive to have one on this side of the border :p
 
coooooooooooooooool. after i told my friends i shot a desert eagle in edmonton i needed pictures to make them believe me. but dont worry i believe you. i wonder what they would think of me if i showd them pics of me with that baby. looks like fun
 
My buddy can't get his 98b to shoot with 250gr( not sure if they were SMKs or Scenars ).. He stepped up to the 300 Scenars and it works much better now.. but he did say the recoil went way up going from the 250s to the 300s.. but at least he can hit something now...

Some models of Barrett such as the Light 50 are prohibited by name. Others are not.

End user certificates relate to the export of certain items, not the import. At least that's how I understand it.
 
More reason I DON'T go there on the weekends. What a gong show ;)

I do have the advantage of being the member with the closest location, so I can go up any time I want :D
