I've got the same thing in stainless 9mm. Never had any problems with it, although I recommend direct-ordering some Tripp mags for it. They do ship to Canada. The Kimber mags are so-so, Tripp ones are much better. Pistol itself shouldn't need any work or aftermarket parts, and will be well fitted.

Yeah I rarely like those type of 1911 mags.

I got the Tactical Custom 2.
Its just fabulous ... Mine shoots anything ... but it didn't like my reloaded Lead semi wad cutter at first........
Now it shoots anything ... all day ....
Mine has really taken a beating ... and if it could tell stories .....the stories it could tell .
Mine was stolen , then miraculously returned to me by the cops 5 years later, a little beaten and abused but actually ran better .... and no worse for were.
I love the 45 ACP and its like a dream when you shoot it out of a 1911.....
Heres a pic of her New in the box.

30 lpi front strap, ambi safty, Mag well, alloy frame, that's about it ....
Its really held up well so far .... I also got a Colt light weight Commander ....... so im kinda wanting a all steel 1911 reeeeeeeeeel Bad

You made a good choice .... A lot of the crap that's on mine I Really wanted at the time but now its kinda Meah.
Im considering a ruger sr 1911.... at the moment

i worked my way up in 1911's
norc -> SAM -> ruger sr1911 -> kimber

must say nothing comes close to the kimber for fit and finish.
but the ruger is a fun gun to shoot!

Ever held a knighthawk......
For the money I still think the sam and rugers are best bang for buck followed by kimbers.

The only thing that has been keeping me from picking up a Kimber is they have the firing pin block safety crap in 'em.

An ingenious solution to a non-existent issue, as the saying goes.

And yeah, I know you can take it all out & they run fine.

But I'm happy to just stick with 1911's as John Browning designed them internally.
