So im having issues with my luger

Good morning gentlemen,
Just a guess.....weren't these pistols designed to use the same ammunition than the submachine guns ?
Hence use high pressure ammo ?
French pistols were designed that way, for the 9mm submachinegun ammo used was on the hot range.

You are right there.

Mind you, I've used a number of different FMJ ammo from different maker/countries in mine over the years and have had very few problems with them.

Thanks for the info it seems to mostly be feeding issues and jams but as I have said its got band new mags, barrel and mainspring so I dont know if they were the issues. I have feed it some dummy rounds and it functions well while i am cycling it by hand and letting it close by releasing at its furthest most point. But when i go to the range and start putting in live rounds it always seems to either not fully close with the toggle arm still bent or a round attempting to be forced into the chamber at a high angle and being forced into the top of the breach. I will try to get some pictures next time i take it out but I have spent many a nights polishing bits and pieces in an attempt to get this gun to work and I am currently stumped

Barrel liners don't take Georg Luger's design from prohibited status to restricted status. A longer after market barrel does.
This whole issue would be mute if not for the stupid Liberal government's concept of creating an unconstitutional class of those Canadians who can own some guns, and other Canadians who cannot own the same gun.

The Luger was successfully adapted to the 9X19 cartridge. Firing the designed 124 grain round nose FMJ bullet, this superb auto served many nations from before WWI up until Hilter ordered the cessation of production in early 1942. The vast majority of Luger production of over one million guns is 9mm.

The Conservative-in-name-only government of Stephen Harper had 6 years in majority government to repeal & replace the foolish Imperial Bill C68! Think "supply management" supporter Andrew Scheer will change Bill C68?

I second the S&B ammo . try the 115 grain first then the 124 grain stuff. it's hotter than North American stuff. and I hope the mag spring is still strong. I wish you all the luck .

Well...these pistols predate submachine guns by about 10 years, so probably not.
Just a guess...
As far as pressure; well, interwebs are all over on that topic too.

Well I have had the new barrel on for some time and it seems to have reduced all malfunctions to one type now. while shooting i have noticed that the rounds tend to get stuck feeding into the chamber. To fix these jams you will have to jiggle the gun forward while holding the toggle back and allow the round to fall forward into the chamber and let the toggle go to chamber. I don't know if polishing the chamber would fix this or if its the angle of the feed ramp that's too steep. If anyone has come across an issue like this I would appreciate your input. Also before anyone comments on magazines I have been using brand new mec gar mags and original mags and all have the same malfunction. These jams have been reduced to about once a magazine but it still is an annoying malfunction to have in such an expensive handgun. also I have brand new springs installed if that helps narrow it down. *mainspring, firing pin, and mag springs*. Thanks for reading
