In my desperate and exhaustign search for my perfect scope to mount on a china made m14, ive narrowed the selection to 3 scope MVP's:D

-Falcon Optics Menace 4-14x44FFP
-Bushnell elite 3200 5-15x
-Nikon monarch 4-16x

The rifle is going to punch paper only and since I like good magnification I wanted something around 5-15x
Which is the best?

I'm not a fan of anything but the high end Bushnells. I hear good things about the Falcon products but am really happy with Leupold these days. IMHO a better quality scope with lower magnification is better then a high power low end scope.

I am a proponent for Bushnelle's High end optics. I think they are top notch and STILL reasonably priced.

Saying that, I am also a journalist and know that Nikon optics are supreme.

Honestly, I would have to say that out of those three choices, you are probably splitting hairs. I bet you could put any one of those on top of your norc and live a long and happy life with your decision.

(sorry, i know that's not what you were looking for)

The good news is that nikon has a factory in missasauga (sp?) which means you dont have to go very far for repair. On the flip side, i would be willing to bet Bushnell repair would be quite a bit cheaper.

Just some things to think about.

Well slushie, you'd think that's not what i'm looking for, but that is exactly the kind of advice i'm looking for, because almost everyone is subjective to it's own experience and diss others, so answers I get are often biased
