So I've decided to buy an SKS but they're sold out at Marstar...

Are there any other reputable dealers in Eastern Canada that I can get them from, or does it just make sense to wait for the Norinco boat to dock at Marstar?

Any suggestions as to good deals on ammo?

Anything else I should know?

Advice much appreciated!

they didnt have any when i was there 3 weeks ago and their website still says SOLD OUT , been like that since mid-december.

check EE , 7x61(armco.com ) has one for $100 but it needs a new stock.
 
Not really eastern Canada, but I just ordered one from SIR about 3 hours ago. Total was 190 shipped to my door and the best part is I didn't have to pay PST. Can't wait to get it, going to clean that bad boy up so well. Now I just need to get my PAL card so I can order me some ammo. Ofcourse I am broke as hell, and I shouldent of bought this, but oh well such is life. I can't have a range day and shoot ONLY my shotgun.... :shotgun:

I was at Milarm in Edmonton today. They just got a brand new shipment in. I checked one out, brand new un-issued full military war surplus. The riflings are factory fresh.

$168 Bucks, can't go wrong. I wanted to buy another one just because they seemed unissued war stock. Threaded barrel, chrome bore.

If you buy one over the phone ask for Mike AND tell him K98ACTION from CGN told you.

I helped him sell some K98's on CGN and he did'nt even know it, I would like to get a few bucks off my next purchase for the free advert... if you know what I mean vern

But if you are in the market call them ASAP, as they sell V-Fast NO :bsFlag:

How did you get a gun from SIR without a PAL ?
 
Heh, I've gotten that question quite a few times. My PAL # and exp date have been issued and given to me via the phone from the Ontario CFO. I called them on the 28th day of my waiting period and they gave it to me. I should have my card in a few days. To order a gun online, or even instore all they need is the number on your card. Only to purchase ammo you need to show your card to them.

I called and they said I should be getting one new from the warehouse.

EDIT* Just called SIR. Canceled my order and I called up millARM. Ordered myself a case of 7.62x39 ammo and a SKS for about 350 or so. :D I like supporting the little guy.

just curious how much for shipping? those ammo are sure heavy.

They said 40-50 bucks, but thats okay with me. MarStar has it but I'd have to pay taxes of 15% + shipping and that sucks and they don't have the greatest CS.
Wolverine said it would be $65 or so bucks shipped UPS and take 5 days, rite.... Wolverine is just one province away and MilArm is 2 provinces away and they were cheaper. MilArm said it was going CanPar and I think my gun is going CanadaPost. I'd rather just get it all together from one company. As I said before I don't mind helping out the little guy.

I mentioned something to Mike when I ordered my gun. I told him k98 from gunnutz sent me and he had no idea in hell what I was talking about. If you see him K98Action just tell him what the confusing phone call was about, maybe he will remember.

That always happens to me when someone says "mention my name"!! lol

I wanted to get an SKS...until the damn town passed the caliber limit bylaw. :mad:
