My initial goal getting into the firearm scene was 3 gun competitions... I've since been happily distracted with my cz shadow. I've dabbled in IPSC(ISL) and IDPA.

I've signed up for a CASE course to try out DSS but had no idea there were so many types of multi-gun groups. Can anyone provide insight into different organizations? Or know of groups that are better tuned to someone new or been through the same conundrum?

Thanks in advance for the insight

Locally DSS is the only real independent organization. There are IPSC 2 gun matches (rifle/pistol) at TMSA, sign up is on practicescore I believe. Abbotsford has a dedicated multigun club and events, their sign up is on practicescore. Mission has a dedicated multigun club, so far only practices/training for club members. Missions practices have been very basic, great for newbies.

The CASE is excellent as well, combined with your pistol experience, adding a shotgun won't be tough after it.
