with all the new US export regs most of the good stuff is off the list if you want it new, what are you guys planning on buying? LMT is basically gone, Stag looks like something out of a freak show with the comp on it. Other stuff like stocks are gonna be scarce to no go soon enough. Not alot of options left anymore...

Anybody else see the future as sort of grim for expanding Black rifles in Canada?

Parts will come from non-American sources.
A US based manufacturer just has to make a Rifle that is 'Export' compliant -Proper stock, caliber designation (some lowers are stamped Caliber:Multi) and no flash hider..

Stocks are everywhere.

After all these years why hasn't a small CDN AR style manufacturer appeared? or from what I read, how about a good one:)

yeah but it takes the fun out of it not being able to get 5.56 in quality guns with all the good add on stuff...

Market is to small for a CDN AR mfg. to make stuff.

Well, Questar's got the stocks from Asia and there are the Sabre defence and mention in another thread of another UK AR maker selling their wares here. Flip side is that it'll be more expensive since they probably don't get the economies of scale the US makers do for commercial AR's.

maybe the answer is to have the canadian models come minus stock and muzzle devices to be completed here w/ the other available parts.

or export completely as a "parts kit" only, to be assembled here.

Yeah just looked over Questar website...so many good stuff no longer available... pissed off about LMT and RRA

I still have my LMT 10.5. Looks like the value just went up, but of course that would mean I would actually have to get rid of it:dancingbanana:

We've got a brand new LMT SPM16 for sale in the EE...

http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=265766

We've also got a brand new RRA 10.5" LAR Pistol (with or without stock) in the EE as well...

http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=265528

We just this week received approvals on a batch of new export permits from US State Department and it looks like we will have a number of RRA models coming with very little change for export (collapsible stocks we will add once they're here). Only problem is that the delivery time right now from RRA is 12 to 16 weeks on all new orders so there's going to be a wait... but that's all.

Don't write this stuff off quite yet...

Mark

As Mark mentioned its not that grim. One more LMT is available :) and some RRA coming in.

.223 chambers are not a problem as they can be reamed to 5.56 a good AR gunsmith should have one in their possession same thing for a comp - can be unpinned and barrel threaded.

Stags are still good to go, RRA will be coming in and of course Sabre from UK.

I'm still pissed about LMT though.

I thought that LMT would go faster !!! Surprised it s still here .

If that LMT was a mid-length gas system I would've bought it 5 mins after Mark posted it. They're high quality rifles. Im sure theres someone trying to get the $$ together to buy it. Especially since we cant get anymore in that configuration.

We're shipping AR15s every day, threaded barrels with A2 flash hiders. Both 556 and 223 chambers available.

Once we're through backorders we'll advertise them, but they're available.
