On a reasonably direct route with the wipers on.
Years ago I bought a USGI M14 that had been converted back to semi only. I had a great time shooting that rifle in the bush; had a valley that ended in a cirque and had been logged once. I could see everything for miles in all directions.

Then the bad days hit when the federal govt of the day decided that not only could I not shoot my FN L1A1 any more, I could no longer shoot my M14 as it was evil and would revert itself back to full auto in the middle of the night.:mad::mad:

So screw the social engineering...I just brought home my 3rd Norc M14. They look really good lined up between the USGI M14 and grampa Garand.

I needed a third because there are three shooters in the house (two sons.)

To REALLY stick it to them, I'd strip down that 12(3) M14 of your's and swap out every imaninable part except for hunk of metal known as the "receiver" (which should be identical to the 3 others that you now have) towards one of your new acquisitions of your choosing.

It may be a hollow victory, but in a small way you get to drive a point that a gun is a gun is a gun.
 
That's something I think we need to work on one day, getting the converted auto's like the M14 and C1's/ Fn's shooting again. That never made any sense to me, we always bend over to follow whatever rules they come up with only to eventually outlaw use of them. I WANT A C1! but alas I can never own one; I got into the game too late and now I'm discriminated against because of it. And that's the real crime here. I do own a Norc M14 and they are lot's of fun to shoot and I am considering buying another from Epp's because they have the Bayo lug. I gota have one or my #### may fall off.
 
Regarding the FAL.
Back when DS Arms came out with their SA58 with new usa made semi only receiver I called the CFC three times to find out why we cant have it. Each time i was eventually put through to an "expert" and each time the conversation ended with "I know its a new semi receiver, but its still a FAL design and that's why its prohib and thats why you cant bring it in" LOAD OF BULL:mad:!!!
