Well boys and girls, its high time to draw the line......With all the panic buying and such, I read on this forum (and all the others as well) about how this person or that person blames the shortages of reloading components on hoarders......That's like the pot calling the kettle black......perhaps the accusers are guilty of the same sin, but just don't fess up to it---here in cyberspace.....
So lets take Joe Average 308 shooter who does some competition shooting in the off season, and hunts maybe two or three big game species each year......what's he got under his bench or on the shelves above it....?? Maybe five or ten pounds of powder.....maybe a few bricks of primers.......maybe a total cache of 500 brass......and several hundred bullets of various weights, styles, and brand......Does this make him a hoarder.....? I think not.....To my way of thinking, if the guy has more than he can ever use in a lifetime...(call him 40 years old)...then he is a hoarder in my books.....
If you have 50 pounds of powder....you just might be a hoarder.......
If you could level a city block if all your primers detonated at the same time.....you might be a hoarder.....
If you have more brass than the Russian army......you might be a hoarder.....
If you have enough bullets to fight the Russian army.......you just might be a hoarder.....
All this got started on January 20th, 2009...ahem........and then exacerbated by the Newtown massacre....and I don't see it getting any better anytime soon......
And that's how I see it.....
