So what Grizzly are you building?

ok. here's the build i want to do over the winter. i haven't decided on some stuff, so maybe you guys can critique this and give me some suggestions on what i should and shouldn't put on. keep in mind that i want to keep it lower cost, so that means more budget items, but i still want decent quality. this is a zombie/tacticool build if you haven't guessed. so take a look and tell me what's missing. :D

Gun

Dominion Arms 12.5" shotgun with Ghost Ring Sights - canadaammo.com
parkerized

Foregrip

railed foregrip? - canadaammo.com
Shotgun Tri Rail barrel mount? - marstar.ca
Ergo three rail shotgun forend? - fabsports.ca
vertical handgrip - where can i get one?

Stock

Knoxx Spec Ops recoil reduction stock
Knoxx Power Pack
side saddle shell holder - not sure which one, Mesa is too expensive. i want the kind that mounts to the reciever, not the stock.

Rail Add-Ons

Leapers Deluxe Tactical Flashlight with Integral Mount? - marstar.ca
Leapers Tactical Laser Sight? - marstar.ca
UTG Flashlight/Laser combo? - frontiertaxidermy.com

Barrel

breaching attachment - where can i get one?
heat shield - marstar.ca

Sling Mounts/Sling

don't know yet.

The Ergo three rail shotgun forend looks like a good choice, I'm getting one too, can"t go wrong with a Knoxx. For a side saddle go with a Tac-Star from districorp.ca, I have one on my 590, its wery good, I don't know of any one makeing a heat shields for a 12" barrel, for a sling go to any hardware store buy 4 feet of 1" webbing 2 slides and make your own and it won't cost you more than $4.

thanks P12. that helps. :D

so there's no one that makes a heat shield for the 12" barrel eh? bummer.

who makes a vertical foregrip that will attach to my rail system?

i like the Tactical sling that Districorp has as well. i may get that. what kind of mounts should i use? standard Uncle Mike's Quick Release?

while i do liek your idea of pimpingyou shotgun out, most of the items you have picked are cheap junk, other then the Knoxx stock.
Not trying to be rude, but have you picked them items because you dont know any better?? Or is it just because of the price?
like i said not beeing rude just would liek to know whay you picked them items.

no offence taken. i'm trying to keep the price somewhat reasonable. i can't really justify 300 bucks on a light, 200 on laser etc. not for a $300 gun. i'll admit, i only have a limited knowledge in the pimping of firearms, and where to pick up components. these are what i could find in the space of a couple hours searching the Canadian suppliers i know of. i want to try to stick with Canadian suppliers so i don't have to deal with border fees etc.

i am more than open to suggestions on everything there. feel free to copy it, and then edit it how you figure it should look, to maximize performance and cost effectiveness. i would like to keep it under 1200 - 1500 bucks, taxes and shipping included if i can.

My 18.5 mag fed folder Grizzly arrived yesterday. All looks good and one week from ordering to arrival so I'm happy with the service for sure ! Still not made up my mind what to do with accessories ( still flirting with the rail/red dot option). I am a shotgun virgin so I have to ask "What accessories have you all tried that work and fit well ?" Any comments or feedback very welcome.

PS - disassembly / reassembly ain't my strong suit so let me know if a project needs more than use of a allen key or screwdriver eh.

Got my 12.5" Ghost Ring model about two weeks ago. Here's the result with a sidesaddle and Knox stock.
The Ghost Ring sights are excellent and the stock tames the 12 ga. down incredibly.

I haven't had my Grizzly for long but I've already poured a lot of money into it. Yet I'm not posting a photo because it still looks the same.

I'm spending my Grizzly Enhancement budget one box of slugs at a time. Not cheap, but so far I think it's what makes me and the Grizzly most useful and attractive. :)

I like your sling, where can I get one ?:)

I have to ask this question after reading this thread, are you all using the same shotgun and removing parts then adding your own such as short barel, mag/tube feeds, saddle mount shell holders etc? If so what kind of gun are you using, or by refering to it as a grizzly is that the make or just the name for a mixed part shotgun?
Also, is it legal to have that magazine fed gun on the first page? That is one cool piece but are there tricks like it must not hold over 3 shells like while we hunt?
Thanks for the info as this thread has gotten my attention.

Thank you for the quick reply! I think I'll put that engagement ring on lay away and buy one of these instead.
