I don't think you can make bubba references when talking about a 10/22! In my opinion 10/22's should be customized. I like the gold receiver. I have one with a polished aluminum receiver. It's not my hunting .22 so shiney is good.

LOL...thats what I was thinking.....but I do like the gold plate for sure. I am sure it looks even better in person. Nice.

Well for starters, gold doesn't corrode. So the receiver won't rust. It's also soft, so will scratch.

Some very high-end sidelock shotguns have some of the internal parts gold plated for corrosion protection.

It looks really nice when its all polished up and in the sun


I was actually going to have it copper plated at first, but slowly changed my mind to gold. Gold plate is more durable and wont tarnish like copper

And since I tend to neglect cleaning my firearms, gold is the way to go

That and I wanted to be the only kid on my block with a gold 10/22
