So what now with Ontario Classifiers

I think new international classifiers are on the way. It was discussed on GV that you could basically simulate Virginia Count (at least in a short stage) by requiring a mandatory reload every 'x' rounds.

So now that Virgin Count is gone what has happened to the Ontario Classifiers that were Virginia Count, not to mention Canadian and World classifier's?

The old results are staying, but new results can't be from any of Virginia Count stages. The board is working on adding some new stages. No time frame yet.

The existing High Hit Fator data for the Ontario classification stages with virginia count can still be used as no one shooting extra rounds will obtain a good score ( same as any comstock stage by the way). So we could simply rewrite the scoring as comstock.

Ok, but is that what is gonna happen or will this be decided at the AGM in April?

FWIW there were only 3 of the original 10 that were VC, the rest are already Comstock so they are GTG.

Some of us understand basic math using decimals. If Pat H shoots the stage to his best ability and his known USPSA/OCS Classification average is 84% we divide his best HF by.84 and get a HHF which is then averaged out with all the best shooters we can get on the same stage.

Yes but different division no? Or is that his % in single stack? Thanks for enlightening us on basic math btw. Where would we be without you to guide us?

Thats just for one Division, each one is calculated in a similar fashion, in this instance he is talking about Open, we can likely take Standard Division scores and apply them to Classic division since the mag capacity won't affect the stages in question, or to only a minor amount

Yes that is understood, that was all taken care of last year. This was a question specifically about the new Classic Division which is similar to Single Stack in USPSA and who would be setting the new HHF for the purposes of establishing classifications in this division.

As close as Standard and Classic maybe they are significantly different due to the types of guns allowed. It is kinda like saying the Open and Modified are the same. Oh wait no such thing as Modified anymore, I guess they were too much alike . OK how about Production is kinda the same as Standard, or at least close enough so why have separate HHF for those divisions? If we want integrity to our Classification system we shouldn't settle for "close enough" or that the "difference is only minor". IMO if it's worth doing, do it properly. I think that with the difference between 8 rounds major PF and 10 rounds minor PF it could be different enough. At that point maybe Production HHF might be just as accurate as the ones for Standard when it comes to establishing ones for Classic.
