The Mossberg 590A1 is nice but not in a pistol grip stock configuration. The regular style of stock works better with the mossberg control layout. The 870 is a better option for pistol griped stocks.

Posted this before....... I like my Fabarm shotty even if RL1 does not!

Personally I think it's because the pistol grip stock he uses is WAY too short for him, being a very big man.

I have the same PG stock, but I also have the regular stock, which I prefer. And it has a longer LOP than the pistol grip version.

yes, I am pretty big...and powerful 8)

You do have a point...when I first got the fabarm I thought that it fit me perfectly...but I had never shot a shotgun at that point...after having tried a ton of shotguns I can definitely say that the fabarm is a bit too "small"

For the record, I also have a 14" 870, plain jane, that I like a lot as well.

The 870 is actually more my "go to" gun than the Fab, which I bought to satisfy my need to have at least one tricked out/pimped up/not totally practical shotgun.

Having both is sweet. I would love to have a Fabarm as well ,but I would have to stop feeding my kids for a few weeks!! HEY!! Thats a great idea!!

Nice toy popcan, I wouldn't mind trying it

I like the dressed down version better. Or maybe the dressed down version with the aimpoint clone...

BTW, how does one enlist in one of those mallninja battalions?

love the 590a1. works great, easy to use safety, slide release. the ghost rings are great, provide a good sight picture. the mossy has dual extractor claws and the elevator is all the way up when the action is closed for easy loading. ya the fit and finish isnt quite what the 870's are at but for the price you cant go wrong. i prefer the mossy anyway. well hey its even got the bayo lug on it, #### a nice m9 hanging off the end looks pretty cool even if it is impractical. just my 2 cents.

Yeah yeah, I know... But I had to have at least ONE gun like this just in case the Ninjas actually take over one day... and then I can pose as one of them!

This is not the unit that goes out in the woods with me. It weighs in at almost 11 pounds fully pimped, and I still trust my old plain jane 870 more.

Still, it's a lot of fun to shoot.

Does any one remember that Mall Ninja who was in one of the forums who claimed to be a Large mall SWAT(security guard) in the US.With his Barsto barreled Glocks and Trama plates in his vest that could stop a .338 Lapua. That guy was ####in' nutz.I would like to find that story again to show the guys at work.If any one saved it please send me a copy.
