so what shoots good in your 10/22

Just got a 10/22 myself, and have tried cci blazer, federal bulk and winchester target bulk so far. It likes the federal bulk the best so far. Entire 525 box with only one FTE. Blazer had numerous Feeding issues. I think mainly due to how waxy they are. Win target bulk is just plain junk. Won't be buying it again.

My 10/22 with a Green Mountain barrel functions like clockwork with anything I have tried in it. Any of the following will shoot groups at 50 yards with all 10 shots touching a dime:

-Federal AutoMatch
-Winchester 333 or 555
-Winchester Dynapoint
-American Eagle 38 grain HP

Match type ammunition does somewhat better than any of these if I want to shoot ornamental groups.

I had terrible leading problems with Remington Thunderbolts. 100 rounds would build up a 1/16@ half tube. Remington Cyclones were better, just a few slivers if lead after 100 rounds. No problem at all with the American Eagle, Blazer or CCI Standard Velocity in 40gr round nose. All copper washed/plated were fine too.

22lr ..... Before I switched to a match chamber I would shoot anything and everything out of it.. Now I don't get that freedom. I had great luck with sub sonics (rem)

I have a 12" McGowan barrel on mine, it shoots Dynapoint GT's most accurately (so far), but will run 100% on the GT's, 555 bulk packs or Federal 525 pack ammo. All through both the factory 10 round mag or BC steel lips 25 round mags.

What .22 ammo? Do not use Stingers in rifles with match chambers....the owners manual on the 10/22 Target specifically mentions that. I have used CCI Std. velocity for years......and Stingers are expensive....
