I see that Browning came out with a new BAR MK III with detachable magazine. Those should be pretty cool I would think. The Stalker is black and tacticool looking. Then they have it wood for those who like a more classic look.

Converting a m1 garand to a bm59 with a five shot magazine is three less than an m1
I think you copy the Beretta m1s , bm59 size m1 garand. But, you need someone to make
19.5 inch barrels or cut a new garand barrel to that length. The American's make 18.5 inch barrels

Looks cool, and so may indeed up being popular. However, if that's the case, I wouldn't be surprised to eventually see it on the ban list as the Turdites have declared that they will ban any semi-autos they think are becoming popular with the proletariat..the "evergreen" clause in their ban.

Is that the same gun as a FNAR Competition?

The competition has a heavier, longer, and fluted barrel. The dbm would be restricted as it has an 18" barrel. Doubt Browning would make a Canada non-restricted run of 18.5" for those wanting to hunt with it.
