When I decided to own my own guns, I wanted to be able to adapt to different styles of triggers. IMO, there's no better way to do that than by starting on a double action revolver.

Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 Magnum - just sold it last year. Still a beautiful trigger and highly accurate.

Mine was a Orbea Hermanos .44 Russian revolver. It had a 5'' barrel and was a top break.It was a Spanish copy of a Smith and Wesson Russian #3 revolver. I had to develop a load for it that worked and eventually used 7 grains of our local South African powder with a 240 grain semi wadcutter head.
It shot really well and was a lot of fun.
