My first handgun was a S&W double action revolver in .38 cal.
Purchased in 1942 and I still have it. Probably worth more than the 50 cent purchase price.

I bought two at the same time. I wanted a revolver in .357 and a .22 to plink. Picked up a Dan Wesson with three barrels - 10", 8", and 6" plus a Colt Cadet. Both are excellent shooters.
