My first pistol was a BIG MISTAKE.
Bought a Norinco 1911 Sport, tuned from Armco. Now every time I pick up another pistol and pull the trigger, I end up putting it right back down and reaching for my cheap Chinese hole-puncher. Gunnar's work has spoiled me.
.45 may not be for beginners, but I can keep pie-plate accuracy at 10 yards which is plenty good for "fun" shooting. Slightly better if I take my time or use a rest. Sure is a good thing that 1911's come in .22 and 9mm, since I have a feeling they will be joining my Nork in the safe shortly.
^Nice to hear! I once printed a 2" X 5 shot group (Weaver stance) from about 15 yards with an AMT Long slide, I felt pretty good about that.
I want to pick up a Ruger New Model Blackhawk in either .45LC or .357magnum with the short barrel one of these days.
