So I heard from Marlin about m14s coming next year with Fiberglas stocks, and on this forum some one mentioned it also.So whats up? Anyone with any info care to post? Thanks

Yes, there are some promised. And no, not by Marstar. However, the company that brings them and the potential distributors are better not made public, since there are no guarantees whatsoever about the ETA.

they will probably be way more $$$$ too.
doubt anyone could offer what marstar does for the price point they are working with. more m14's in canada though would be a cool thing. Believe it when i see it though.

i wish i could hire 6 guys at the wages they pay in china to build stocks for me so i could sell em cheap :D :D but my custom stocks require my personal touch ...... and that ain't cheap hehehe

it would be cool though to see more dealers sellin more m14 stuff , more rifles, parts, stocks, mounts...........

I am aware through the rumor mill alone that china exported the m14s/m305 to more than just canadian sporting arms suppliers. I wouldn't be surprised in the least to here of someone snagging a load of them from somewhere outside of china. Phillipines perhaps........... maybe elsewhere ........
I was also told a story once by a non regular , rather testy CGN'er , while he was chastising me for my lowball offer on some parts he had for sale in the e.e. ....... that him and his cohort would be putting me out of business with all the stocks and parts they were going to import from Isreal of all places. That was some months ago....... haven't seen a hoard of m14 parts and stocks fill the e.e. and i haven't seen a business like RAA parts (nuthin but m14 parts) in canada yet ...... so, rumors will grind through the mill as they always do.
will these rifles make it to our shores and sweaty palms........ we can only hope :D :D

That remains to be seen. So far they price difference was no more than 10%. It might change in time.

If we are to believe the great folks at marstar, there are no more m14s/m305 rifles being made in china and Marstar had procured all of what was left for the last 3 shipments. Those boats have docked and the product is here. This leads us to believe....... there are no more "new" m14s rifles to be had from china.

Marstar is not Norinco's only customer .
Check there web site

not saying they were china's only customer, i'm saying..... they told us they bought it all.
not trying to be the cloud on a sunny day and I've already said..... more of anything m14 would be a great thing. I don't care who brings it in :D
and for the record, one single M14s that i have purchased from a dealer, originated from marstar, and not from them directly, got it from weimajack. ALL the rest, it has been 23 so far, came from sources that had no ties with marstar and no rifle was date stamped as the marstar ones. Sorry, I bought one from a fellow cgn'er that is date stamped...... so 2 originated at marstar........ 21 from sources of import other than marstar .......
we can really never have too many of these things....... I'll admit I am an m14 junky, the stuff is crack to me ...... bring on another boatload. I am to the m14 what curtton over in red rifles is to the sks/cz :D a hopeless addict

I expect that there are holdings of USGI M-14s offshore. Have seen footage of some from the Baltic, for example.
While the rifles would not be importable, the parts kits could be. If I knew I could source a quantity of these rifles, I would certainly be beating the bushes for a supply of receivers to assemble them into rifles. Good condition original parts assembled onto a quality receiver would be about as good as it would get. Assemble some with premium match grade barrels, as well.
Wait - isn't that how Springfirld Armory got started with their M1As?

...snip...

No. that is not exactly what they said. They said that they bought all of the parts available to Norinco, and that it was not cost effective to restart the production lines at this point in time.

Norinco is not the manufacturer, it is the exporter.
