I will one day set foot on African soil. I have always been fasinated with everything about the Dark Continent. My biggest goal in life is to go on a plains game hunt. But a real hunt, not this chasing Impala down with a truck and exhausting it to the point it can't jump over the fence. A real hunt, like was the norm a hundred years ago. Next up would be Alaska and northern Quebec. What is your dream? Where would you like to go above all other places?

Much like you I dreamed of Africa all my life, striving to make those dreams a reality had a major role in shaping my life. It took me until I was 41 to put it all together for the first one, but I am going on two this summer, back to back.:D The first is RSA for plains game,and the second one is my long dreamed about Zimbabwe cape buffalo hunt, with two on license. I leave in 3 weeks.
Alaska interests me, as do our own territories but right now I am living my dreams. Occasionally plans do come together.
 
My son and I fly out on the 2nd of July to RSA for a plains game hunt. We will be hunting in the Kalahari desert near Namibia and Botswana. From all the references I talked to we won't be running down any impala with the truck. The main ranch we are hunting is 150,000 acres.
 
African plains game is right up there on my list. I'll be heading out in about eight weeks with Neo and five friends for a ten day hunt in RSA.

Is it August yet?
 
I'm living the dream...I live in BC and hunt Stone's sheep every year...there's nothing I'd rather hunt!

If I had to hunt out of country, I'd hunt Marco Polo or Snow sheep.
 
My next dream hunt is a Sod Poodle Safari in Kitchener/Waterloo... next week! The Alfalfa is cut and I have hired my gun-bearer.
I really want to go west and hunt bears with Gatehouse.
Maybe this is the year.
 
My African dream was realized last summer with a 10 day hunt in the Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania, and I busted my buff on my 51st birthday. It just doesn't get any better than that.

My next dream hunt will be dall sheep in the Yukon, or maybe coatal grizzly - but I sort of think a sheep hunt will happen first.
 
Sign me up for Yukon for Bullwinkle. One day I want to go north, take the whole family for Caribou. Is four sets of `bou antlers too many?

Then wrangle 280 Ackley to take me for one of his hawg chocolate Black bears.

A big Desert Mule Deer and southern Antelope in New Mexico.

Perhaps a trip to Norway to see what my ancestors use to do to hunt stags would be good to do also. Christy mentioned interest in that one too!

That should keep me broke until I lay in a grave!
 
dall sheep, Grizz and Elk and Alaska Moose all in one trip now that would be awsome. Might as well throw in a Black tail hunt while we are up that way... Second would be a Rocky Mountain elk hunt on Horse back with my Dad and son. after that a trophy Mulie with my Brother and Son and Dad. Better check my 6/49 I guess. Then I will be off to other continents most likely starting in either New Zealand or Africa
 
Buff and elephant in Africa; Tigers and leophard in India; Brown Bear here in BC, along with Stone and Rocky Mountain sheep.

Thats a start.
