So what's your dream?

When I finish tweaking the Time Machine, I'm off to chase T-Rex's with my trusty Holland & Holland Royal Double .700 Nitro Express ;) :D Hey, it's my dream so there :p :)

Hey BC Bigbore, I hear parts for those time machines are getting expensive. Save your bucks and go after the 2 T-Rex's hiding in the shirt of that girl in your avatar!

One Word CARIBOU, all the african game is boring it either has spiral horn or straight points. Caribou is all over the place not boring at all, after caribou maybe Bison,Pronghorn or mayhaps a big bear.

Yukon for Dall and Stone's sheep. Possibly a grizz on the side. I'm thinking of moving once I graduate, cause I'll never be able to afford any of that.

Where would you like to go above all other places?

well, in between hunting all over bc, i would take side trips to argentina (red stag), namibia (leopard, kudu, oryx), tanzania (buff), central asia (sheep and ibex), the arctic for walrus. probably a few other places as well. not to mention deep sea fishing in mexico and central america, peacock bass in the amazon.

but, "above all other places", i am already there. bc is the hunter's paradise, hunting somewhere in the province for big game every day of the year. and there is nothing in afrika that would count as high to me as a do-it-myself ram/griz in bc. and most of it wouldn't rank as high as a called elk or a muley that i spent 15 days hiking the hills for.

I would love to go to Russia for a hunt. Close second would be Alaska then to Africa if theres time! (Maybe to sweden for a girl in her...ouch, wife just hit me!)

I'm living it, very good hunting up in the peace region, and when I fill my tags here, it's back to Saskatchewan for whitetails and yotes.

Did the Africa thing for ohh say 22 years, every year....Going back early 2008 for some more and also have plans for New Zealand some time (Have a cousin there, she and her husband are avid hunters so I am sure they can hook a guy up with something) :D

Of couse the Big five but i dont have 200,000 k for that, so I will settle for a Grizzly bear/elk hunt someday, possibly squeeze a big horn hunt in, Missed my elk on the first hunt! so i feel the need.

Second to that i would love a Yukon Moose/bear hunt!

Also like to go to mexico for one of those crazy mallard hunts, gosh i could go on!!

Hunting the Arctic animals on land or from sea. Sometimes the sky on the ocean is black with seabirds :)

In meantime, hunting B.C. just fine. Or mayby hunt Kamchatka for bear one day, hunt for elk in Mongolia, as well as hunt for stag and ducks in Argentina where one dance tango after having "beef de lomo" with some "vino tinto", hunt crocs in Australia, hunt exotic sheep in those far away Asian countries, hunt for ### with 20 year old girls with Gatehouse etc. etc :)

For all of you dreaming of Africa - if you haven't read any books by Peter Hathaway Capstick you don't even KNOW how bad you'll want to go after you read a few of his stort stories. It's bascially like Hemmingway without worrying about literary devices and subliminal messages. HIGHLY recommended! Happy reading and dreaming...

A nice long hunt in the NWT/Yukon for moose and griz and caribou. Then take a nice sleep under a pine tree overlooking a meadow and never wake up......when I'm 90.

My dream would be that there would be an absolute EXPLOSION of the population of coyotes one year. Like im talking Mass quantities of coyotes. You blow on the howler call and you hear about 500 dogs howling at ya. Give a couple pup distress calls and before you even get the call out of your mouth you see 25 yotes running at full speed straight towards ya. Have your best bud watching your back, both of ya with 2 guns firing as fast as possible.

lol

My dream hunt is to have my son with me when we bugle in a nice bull elk or rattle in a respectable whitetail or to be in the sub alpine on a early season mule deer hunt and have our senses over whelmed with the scents and sights of the high country or chase moose in the swamps and hear the cows and bulls vocalizing and having my son able to imitate these sounds or................. it just keeps getting better.

You're too kind. Once you go you'll be ruined for anything else. To paraphrase Jack O'Connor

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Poor old Boer seun is one of the afflicted too!

I want to go back. In fact, I wanted to go back before I left! Other than Africa for a Buffalo I'd have to say BC for Stone Sheep (like a dummy I didn't go when I lived there), Alaska for Brownies and somewhere for Elk. I think a nice bull Elk or Stone Ram would finish off the log house the girlfriend wants. If she gets a log house I can hang all the heads I want in there. What can I say? She's a helluva negotiator!
