So... when is the M305 and .308 combo deal coming?

Yes the cost of doing business in China is getting expensive but don't fret the good capitalists will find some other group of people to exploit for their profit and to provide you with cheap stuff. The dark continent is almost totally untapped, if they would just stop slaughtering one another long enough to allow some sweat shops be made Africa could be the next big thing.

We will try to keep the price at retail as low as we can, but obviously we cannot take a loss

We have discussed an increase in quality on par with the price increase with the factory.

Otherwise, if they do not sell, they they will no longer be imported.

When they were first imported, I believe they sold for $799

interesting the norc rifles are doubling, but the prices of the norc 1911s are dropping faster than a stone.

A lot of us want properly indexed barrels, proper headspacing, proper heat treat, tighter tolerances, and good internal parts. Less burrs and machining marks would make it easier on the eyes too. Past decisions such as substituting weaker alloys in high stress parts such as the bolt still worry me. Otherwise the gun is quite good, it has a nice forged receiver with a higher grade of steel than typical and a decent chrome lined barrel. But who knows if the new receivers are still using 5150 steel unless it gets tested.

Going the value added route and justifying a 2x price increase by adding a new "tacticool" stock without improving the parts quality would be a disservice. Aftermarket stocks are abundant, USGI parts are not. I can replace a stock, but it is getting harder and harder to source USGI parts, most of which are incompatible with a Norinco anyways. For $800, they can keep the stock cheap, but the parts must be quality, not just the receiver.

Just my two cents.

I don't have a new price list but my local gun store told me the m305 will be $200 more. That puts them in the low to mid $600 range. I don't think that's too unreasonable. I do not have a guarantee on that price, just what I heard ;)

You can thank the UN for that.

And if not for those evil capitalists, fewer people in Canada would have guns and people in Chuna would still be making pennies an hour vs $6 an hour. Everyone involved would have a lower standard of living and less happiness.

I saw they were back in stock earlier today but I am wondering if they suffer from the same problems as the latest batch that a competitor just imported.

I am very disappointed with my purchase from the Competitor. This is the second M305 that I have purchased and sold because the quality is so poor.
