so who eats deer tongue or other organs?

^ see up above there somewhere, slow cooker 8 to 10 hrs and it will almost melt in your mouth. My mother used to use her pressure cooker years ago long before the slow cookers came out.

A pressure cooker is 2 things in one; a slow cooker and a time machine.
 
If you'll eat sausage, which are just the poo tubes of the creature, then you shouldn't have a problem with kidney.

Not all sausage tubes are made of intestine anymore. Store bought are likely synthetic. Butcher bought likely real intestine.
 
We eat all the livers and hearts. Also roast all the bones and make a thick rich soup stock, makes for the best soup ever. No wild flavor once the fat is skimmed, so tasty. Pressure can in pints and it lasts all year.

I do soup stock as well but I freeze it in zip locks , I also use what ever meat I don't like to eat ie: ribs and boil them till the meat falls off the bone , freeze it as well for adding to the soup later.
 
I have a drain bucket and a sieve full of rib meat draining as we speak. It was in the slow cooker all night. My best Pals are waiting very anxiously for their breakfast. They know it's for them. A warm breakfast is a real treat.
