Ya just see so many 8mm mausers kicking around the ought six is easy somewhere in Norway they sold off some old war stock or whatever you call it. But who choked up there 8mm's. I see alot have been sent through re furb via Russia but is that where they have been hibernatingfor the past 60 plus years? The Mauser is an amazing rifle, but I think I have some kind of Mauser laminate wood fetish crickey there are some beautifal stocks out there. That was craftmenship:canadaFlag:

Many are still in Russia, many more were used up in Vietnam, Korea, China, etc. A few are still in South America rusting away. France wore a bunch of them out in the early post-war years, and many more were towed out into the atlantic on barges by the allies and dumped overboard.

Greece still has stockpiles (a couple of thousand rifles I heard) of unfired WWII 8mm Mausers that were captured or left behind by retreating forces. They will most likely be sold to German dealers when they are released in the next few years as Germans are paying upwards of 2000 Euros for their old war rifles to come back home.

Russians NEVER throw anything away. Of the 100 Rolls Royce armoured cars bought by the Imperial Russian Government, they STILL have 99!
I would even bet that in some obscure arsenal, there are still thousands of Berdan rifles, and Schofield revolvers.

Bingo! I have seen some interesting documentaries over the years where they walk into warehouses/armoured bunkers/caves, and...well you know the rest, floor to ceiling stuff. :)

That looks like another shipment on it's way to P&S and Marstar.

AND Russia is still sitting on better than half of the entire production of the 1910 Ross: the ones they got from Britain in the Great War, the ones they were given in the Second War, the ones they stole from Latvia in 1940........ and I want some!
