SO who ordered a Dominion Arms 870 Grizzly

Interestingly, I did notice that it was really hard to jam rounds into the magazine with the Express trigger group in the gun. I took it out and tried my old Wingmaster trigger group and it was much easier so even with the Remingtons there are differences in the tolerences and dimensions.

Not sure what the trigger group would constitute to make it more difficult to load, unless you mean that the lifter was rough, snagging, etc with the one from the Express.

When you load the 870 you push the carrier upward (toward the underside of the bolt) and the new round runs along its bottom edge and into the magazine. Normally there is enough space below the bottom surface of the carrier for the round to go right in easily. In this case with the Express carrier I see it has a little bit more pronounced "V" shape than rounded "U" shape and thus the end of the carrier sticks down enough that it gets in the way of the round going into the magazine tube, there is not enough space for it to go straight in and the shell's rim was binding and it took a very hard fast push to get the round into the mag. Hard to explain but is you take a look at yours it will be self evident. If not I can post pics but I wasn't worried since it is only a temporary thing, just an observation.

I got mine this morning, and JESUS! That stock bolt is on there tight! I have an S&J hardware stock adapter and a couple of Magpul products waiting to go on the gun. I shot the stock full of oil and I'll try it again in a couple hours.

Man is it on there! Anyone else have the same problem?

I just went in the garage and got a ratchet wrench from my dads tool box. You just need one of those extender things... No way I'd have gotten it off w/a screw driver. I think the bolt is 1/2".

That thing is built like a tank. Just have a look at the thickness of the stock wall - sure you don't need an extra door ram for tactical entry.

Pretty awesome little guns, got mine today. Definately on par quality wise with the Remmy 870 Express Magnum I had. Everything is well finished, trigger is decent, I even like the stock better then the Remmy plastic. Nice soft rubber butt pad. Quite glad I got in on this deal.....:)

hankthetank, no manual with mine. Someone on here likely has a link to the Rem 870 manual though or if you have a specific question ask away.

Cheers
