So whos buying a CZ Bren 2 MS ? Its non res !

X95, bren, or apc. Decisions decisions

I went x95 in 5.56. No regrets. I'd be looking for a Bren 2 BR in .308, if the price isn't too ridiculous. I simply refuse to pay anywhere near an amount that most would buy a small car for, for a rifle. There comes a point where I ask myself what am I paying for ('cause it ain't engineering or material)?

If IWI made a conversion kit for the x95 to shoot .308, i'd go that way. It is a great rifle.

Is there a semi-auto .308 BR? I've only seen them with select fire.

You are correct, Ian at Forgotten Weapons suggested people may want to petition CZ to make a semi-automatic only 308 Bren, as that currently does not exist.

Ugh, so deflated. I didn't know, I was assuming CZ would be making a semi!?

CZ Bren M2 and X95 are sold in the US at about same price range. I think M2 is about 100 to 200 more on average out on the street.

So my guess is that they will be about the same corresponding price in Canada, I will make a call of 3K.

IRG is selling the US pistol at 2K, by the time it comes to your house it will be about 2600 on the visa bill, add 250 USD for that stock.

...Tavor7 ??

Yep, but a conversion kit for half the cost would make more sense...since the Bren is NA.

Actually, now that I think about it just from a magazine point of view it would make more sense to have a conversion kit for the Tavor 7 down to 5.56 utilizing a magazine adapter. What is large can be adapted smaller easier than the other way.

I'll most likely just get the Tavor 7 and call it done.

Who cares what the FRT says, it’s not law, the more we bend over for the horse police and jump at there becking call the more they will take advantage of us

Does anyone here actually think criminals care about then FRT if they don’t then why should we

Just my 2 cents on a Saturday morning

Without an FRT it can't be imported my dude. No FRT, no Bren.

So a mini 14, xcr, and cz scorpion, all non restricted, all are all banned by JT, but he will let you have this thing? It even says on the cz website it’s based on the select fire Bren 2 platform. What makes this so special, besides the 3-4 grand price tag?

Really? The only reason it's not on the ban list is because it wasn't available when the ban list was made.
It's fine to base a semi-auto on a select fire counterpart - many rifles are. It just can't be a converted auto, nor easily converted.

If it troubles you, no worries, JT will surely make sure to name this prohibited in the next ban go around. If not just a blanket semi-auto ban.
