So whos buying a CZ Bren 2 MS ? Its non res !

I get that, but I’m sure if some of the pricier modern semis would not have got axed by the oic you wouldnt be seeing XCRs listed for less then $3500 in the ee. I don’t think the oic isn’t the only cause for the ridiculous inflation in gun prices.

Same with the ACR, if it were still in production today it would also be approaching $4,000.

CTCSupplies has announced on Reddit they have joined the Bren 2 retailers club. They are to be on sale in limited numbers tomorrow or Saturday, shipping on Monday. More to come in May. To be clear, this is an entirely separate import from the other two importers bringing in the Bren 2. Restricted Bren 2s are coming from the U.S., with NR from the Czech Republic to come in the fall

Edit: corrected sale date

CTCSupplies has posted a coupled LAR mag dump video to Reddit, and commented in thread their first batch sold within hours, and reiterated more were to come in May, https://www.reddit.com/r/canadaguns/comments/ug54lh/cz_bren_2_ms_lar_mag_dump_11_556x45/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb.

If someone with a line to CZ, one of the importers, or who have the internal or external balls of steel to find out with $6000 in rifles could answer the following; can the magwell from a 5.56 Bren 2 be moved to the 7.62x39 mm model, and allow the use of 7.62x39 XCR pistol mags with the 7.62x39 mm Bren 2?

Sorry, just realized I might be confusing the Bren 2 with another European firearm with a swappable mag well; too many Forgotten Weapons episodes running together in my head... I will have to go back and review, but could you swap the lowers if the magwell is integral, or are their two many differences?

It looks like HB Industries makes a specific magwell sleeve/insert for the specific x39 AR mags so I'm guessing yiu will need that to run AR 7.62x39 mags

Sweet! The website shows the adapter as inexpensive and reversible. Hopefully someone local can bring some up; not sure if it's description may have AR in it which may get it stopped by CBSA. Now Cross Industries has another reason to hurry up and make their coupled 7.62x39 mm XCR pistol mags :)

What a great indication of the sh*t state of the gun industry in Canada, pretty close to a $1000 difference depending on who you order from, with little or no justification other than the fact that some poor desperate soul will pay it.

My friends are interested in these things so they started posting the same questions to me.

Some dealers are starting pre-order for the NR probably because some people are asking 4K for guns that not even the importers know exactly when will show up.

Those factory NR guns won't come in until later in the year according to the importer. So no, you should not be paying 4000 bucks for this because they should be in the low 3K range.

If you want to pre order to lock into a price listed, I think that's legit. But I think you will be pretty ill -informed to lock yourself into a 4K price tag.

Good info as always GT.
