Yup - shipped with standard Customs paperwork, described as a "Chef's Kirdhen Knife". Fixed-blades do not have the CBSA "issues" that foldiers and flippers do in clearing customs. Bayonets sail right through in my experience.....

You can always declare that you destroyed your NR
No you would need to take it to a qualified gunsmith and have him literally verify that the firearm is deactivated or destroyed

Just like many others (that’s why we are having the “largest run of guns” according to Frontier), one of the main reasons I put in pre-order if due to the NR status and the May 18 will change that unfortunately.
Don't worry about the registry not a registry... You threw the Bren 2 in the deepest part of the ocean as part of a very personal religious experience. Technically not lost or destroyed. Keep a GPS coordinate handy.
Most you could get in trouble for would be improper storage!

With Registry #2 in full effect, the NR Bren 2s available for pre-sale are going to be assigned to each buyer on a personal basis in store records that the police can readily access "with cause" when they finally arrive in the Fall. Seems to me that that aside from being able to take the gun into the woods (which I cannot physically do anyways), there is little practical difference nowadays between NR and Restricted. So I wonder why folks are still waiting for the long-barrelled version rather than buying a Restricted version with the factory correct 14" or 11" Barrel length that they can have in-hand by month's end? The buyers of Restricted versions will get to enjoy an entire shooting season with their Bren 2s that those waiting on a NR version are going to miss out on.

Many of us still plan on using our guns on crown and private land. I'm personally done withs paying range fees and having to put up with all of the restrictions that my range imposed.
While the store will have record of the sale they are still not at the same risk level as every registered firearm in this country.
A NR can still be sold privately without a serial number trace, you can't say the same for a R length Bren 2.

Not true. A business transfer records all firearm details as welll as the buyer info. A private transfer does not include firearms details.
