I need your help. I have a typical sift case for my 49" long shotgun. It has handles ands shoulder strap.

I want to get one with a shoulder harness like a back pack. I want to be able to carry it vertically and hands free. It should be camo. It should be sleek and small so I'm not carrying around extra pouches and straps.

The sniper drag bags out there are much too cumbersome.

I can't find this middle ground anywhere. Do you guys know of one?

And the sleek shotgun scabbards are no good either because they won't enclose all 6 sides of my gun

Trying to declutter the gear going to the duck blind in the fall.

Thanks EB

How about locate a cheap or second hand backpack. Have a seamstress remove the harness and re-attach to the case you have so you are able to carry it like a ruck.......

The project has begun!

I went to Canadian tire, and the cheapest solution I could find there was 2 rifle slings, for a total of $20...

So I went to my local army surplus store, and got a webbing yoke for $14!

My wife's sewing kit, and some braided line... we're in business

Don't tell my wife... that I broke 3 of her needles... that nylon is really hard to sew through.

More importantly... don't tell my wife that I can sew

Here's part one done... webbing yoke firmly attached to the gun case...

The straps that come with the webbing are too short... so I'll have to source some 1" nylon webbing... back to Canadian tire...

More to come!

So here's the finished product. Fits well. Slim and will go over my turkey vest nicely

And as an added bonus, I sewed on the piece of webbing that allows me to mount a pouch. Turns out the small pack will only fit one box of shells!

I'll let you know how it stands up in the field!
