I use FEDERAL when it comes to a revolver as I fire all in DA only so the hammer fall is not as strong/heavy as in Single Action.
As for semi-auto I do not give a darn as hammer-fall is heavy.
Mind you I ONLY use Wincester brass as the primer hole is a fraction more shallow then some other makes. ALSO best to seat the primer a bit deeper then level with the bass itself. Because the teeth are that close to being fired so easier for DA only.
I picked this up from Murray Charlton in Brentwood Bay B.C., many yrs ago, for he built my first PPC revolver for me. Obviously I was NOT useing "thin skinned" Federa pimers & any brass I could get my hands on plus just seating as the book says. In PPC you do not have the time to have a 'Jane Fonda' & so the time to empty brass along with the dud to feed in another round.
