The two shotguns with the least amount of recoil now are the DT11 (half the recoil of my old DT10L) and the 692. Both have similar but not quite barrel design that reduces substantially recoil. Besides both will outlast your life time!

Nope, neither has the Kick Off. If shooting light loads or even handicap loads the kick off wont be effective. I've personally shot a few Beratta clay guns with and without Kick Off, it's pretty effective with 3"+ heavy loads or magnums in a hunting gun but I didnt even see or felt it work with light clay loads on A400 Xcel or SV10 Prevail target guns.

What really tames recoil in the SV10, DT11 and the new 692 is the way forcing cones are lengthen and designed compared the the 68X series. They also have a redesigned receiver with also helps in the recoil dept.

I bought a 725 and don't really feel and difference between it and my Super Sport. I would recommend the 725

I owned 2 A400 Excels, one with kickoff, one without. the kickoff works on target loads, softening the recoil pulse more than without it. the non kickoff gun I had is gone. I would not buy a Beretta without kickoff now, I 'm convinced !

If that Mossberg impressed you, you would be totally blown away by a mid to higher quality O/U.

There's a lot of low recoil semi auto's. I've owned a number of trap guns, o/u guns and semi auto's. Currently I shoot a Winchester SX3 Flanigan 32" barrels. Based on recoil I don't plan to be buying up or down. But like everyone, it needs to fit and feel right.
