Just had to let the M14 go today. I loved it and will probably buy one again one day. I sold my Norc today and got this.

Very nice 858 collection! Kinda makes you wish AK's weren't banned eh? What was the deciding factor for the trade-off?

I seriously thought long and hard about this one. I was actually sad but it was time for her to go. Nothing wrong with her but she was gonna cost a lot of money to get her up to "hungry, Laz, 45ACP" standards. A USGI bolt, a decent pistol grip stock, etc. I loved it and WILL one day buy another. I saw a new Marstar stamped 2007 M14 today too at the shop. Anyone who wants one, they have it at Wanstall's in Maple Ridge for $550 and mine is now there. Dont know how much he's gonna ask for mine but worth looking. Good luck to all the "West Coaster M14 Support Group". I will miss the M14.
 
I have an 858 and I love it. Its really a well designed gun and for the price you really can't go wrong. That said I also just baught a shorty off LAZ so now its gonna be a toss up what I shoot, lol.

Its getting to the point where I have more rifles then time to shoot them. I guess I need to gain more free time.

This helmet is a genuine Vietnamese Army helmet worn by NVA types during the Vietnam war and today still. I wanted a souvenir where I could look at it and know that it was straight from Vietnam. On a visit home, I got my sister to go to the army base and ask for one. They gave us three helmets complete with stars(officer).Customs frowned at them when they saw them. LOLz
