So you can have a functional firearm with a right side safety while you save the money for the optic mount. TI would have to confirm, but the side mount rail could likely come pre-installed if requested when ordered with the Picatiny adapter or Russian left-hand friendly red dot.
Damn missed out on the non-optic folder. If I order the Optic ready folder and remove the mount from the options will I have a functional rifle?

You can just select no when it asks about the mount - the only difference from a non-optic folder is that the pins will be threaded.
If you had them pre-install the side mount rail, you probably would have no extra pins and safety. If you just had them send the kit to install, then you would have another set. In that case, you could probably trade the set for a left safety where someone wanted the right safety with no optic mount![]()
Is there a way to order with the russian style side mount installed optic ready for russian side mount scopes?
I'm wondering if the optics ready ones come with the original lower pins...
