Hi TI, I received the rifle, but unfortunately you sent me a wrong one. What I ordered is a SE Folding Stock, and you send me a SE OR Folding stock, the safety switch is on the right side of the receiver. Please contact me and arrange a replace. Thanks.

I think all the folders are right side safety regardless of being optic ready or not. The pics only show the regular fixed stock as having left side safety.

But in their description, the safety is on the left side, I am waiting for the reply from TI.

"Details:
Introducing the all-new Type 81 Special Edition. Featuring a dark red wood finish and the same Mil-Spec Phosphate finish used by current military production rifles. Phosphate finish offers superior corrosion and scratch resistance to standard blued finish.

The Type 81 is a gas operated, magazine fed, semi-automatic rifle. It uses a short-stroke gas piston, located above the barrel, and a two-position gas regulator. The bolt group (of the rotating bolt type) is borrowed from the Type 63 rifle. Type 81 rifles also retains the Type 63 bolt hold-open device, which catches the bolt in the open position after the last round has been fired from magazine. The fire selector – safety switch is located at the left side of the receiver, just above the pistol grip, and can be easily operated with the right hand thumb. The open sights are marked from 100 to 500 meters, with the front sight being mounted just ahead of the gas block.

Thanks for the info! Now the hard part for me is catching the drop when it happens before the people more interested in profiting off of fellow enthusiasts snatch them all up in the first hour by buying multiple same rifles with the sole intention of reselling at a huge markup. I'd even be ok with pre-ordering and pre-paying but I know TI doesn't do that.

Pretty sure they will come faster than expected since this batch is sold out.

Meanwhile the scalpers are offering them for $2,100 on the EE, oh yeah well.

Yup, noticed that too, and what irks me is the typical sleazy "salesman" pitches too "Beautiful rifle, the quality this that, rare and can't get them etc etc" Get bent, you and your $2100 asking price buddy. haha

I'll just wait til the next batch, it wasn't in the cards financially this time around

For laughs I put pics of my fixed stock on #######, at first listed at $2100 a got so many hate messages and negative feedback, then I upped it to $2750 and added *free shipping* hahaha!

Also put in I had 7 available,, then only 4 left selling fast and poof 1 left,, I'm sure I had people going nuts thinking they were selling for that amount.

Troll of the year. Hahhaha

any one with order number 125xx or greater? Still no tracking yet...

Yes, mine says (order processing) payment received and nothing else. My order number is one of the last ones I think at 128** and then 4 hours later I checked the site and they were all sold out. Fixed optics ready.

You just joined and already made it to #1 troll?

Stupid petty complaint but the safety plates seem to be quite a bit different between my lmg and brand new folder, so much so that they are not interchangeable between safetys, the new folders is also rubbing against the trigger slightly.

Oh well :dancingbanana:.

The new folder is rubbing against a the trigger, or the safety?

Ah, I hadn’t read the description closely. I have a non OR folder coming and I would prefer the safety on the left side as well. I’m looking forward to seeing how they reply to you.
