They are riveted to the top. Going to be hard to remove without a good drill press and some skill.

Does anyone know how to change out the flashlight handguard for the folding one? I took the flashlight handguard off as well as the adapter it uses to attach to the gun but when I try to slip on the folding one the holes for the screw just dont seem to line up. Am I missing something?

Dont know why you guys would need to dremmel anything on it, on all of the ones I had I just unscrewed the potato h/g, take off that mount and then slide on the folding grip. Easy peasy

Are you making sure that the folding grip is sliding into the "mounting" rail properly???

Before dremmeling it maybe you should contact TI to see if these new ones are out of spec Beaune there should be zero need for dremmeling

I had to cut a fair bit of plastic off mine. Still need to grind more off the part that is close to the trigger guard so it closes.

sounds like mine, a lot of material had to come off or it wouldn't close, got it working but it should have fit better for sure

Keep in mind these are serialized. Im not sure if they are custom fit to the gun but if they are you may have some fitment issues.

It's just a piece of sheet metal that jams under the front sight and locks with the spring loaded loose catch. I don't see any problems that might arise with fitment that can't be addressed with a minimum amount of work .
