SOLD OUT: TR-410 Micro

IMG_7008.jpeg

First grip never showed up from Canadian Safety Source - they stopped responding and there was a website banner saying the business was for sale so sought a refund through the bank.

Ordered this A3 Tactical 2” grooved grip with integrated hand stop from Red Deer Shooting Centre which just showed up. So much nicer to handle with the vertical grip.

Nice set-up! Moving forward we are going to have vertical grips included instead

Mine isn’t the Micro but it shouldn’t matter. Based on some other posts I went with 2.5 inch shells. I’ve been using Sellier & Bellot Ammo 410 Gauge 2.5" #000Buck and haven’t had an issue at all. I just bought some 410 to 9mm adapters. I’ll let you know how that goes. In my head I feel like the stainless steel adapters should add a safety factor to these sketchy guns. Also 9mm is cheap. Obviously not gonna be very accurate but let’s face it… I don’t buy this gun to be accurate.

Anyone wanna chime in on if “The Shooters Box” 410 to 9mm adapter is safe in these things?

I have a friend who used it and said it was safe, I am going to order a set as well. Chime in after you get them and share your experience

I posed this on a post from sfrc, & their new 'rifled' 410.45lc revolver rifle. I did try & look it up, only thing I found was products that is the same length{basically} as the original barrel-I.E. Promoted for: Tauras Judge 45/410 to 9mm. But they aren't long barrel{rifles}, about equal in length to the actual firearm. What about a short 9mm adapter in a rifled 45lc? Can the smaller 9mm damage the barrel-somehow after it leaves the adapter?
-as per, posts that people want to run these short 9mm adapters, thru a much longer rifled 45lc barrel.

*"IF this is rifled for 45LC, would using adapters, running {smaller} 9mm through a rifled barrel have any cause for concern? Since these adapters are shorter than the 9" or 12" etc. barrel length of the rifled micro. Using them through a smooth bore 410, as opposed to a rifled barrel for a different caliber/sized bullet, & being shorter than the actual rifled barrel?"*

Yeah, trying out a 2.5" shell will be the next.
Tactical Imports and others have advertised it as being able to use up to 3".

I just ordered one of these new ones (Canuck Evolve) and all dealers claim to only use 2.5"

I'm pretty sure it is a copy & paste of the previous model, with a different label. Then again, who knows.

As long as the "sub caliber" bullet is smaller than the original bore diameter, then it should fly through the bore without touching anything at all. The shotgun bore essentially becomes a giant compensator, at that point. Just don't use chokes, lol!

There are lots of reviews of these adapters in Taurus Judge revolvers, rifles and shotguns and no one claims to have damaged their bores. The biggest complaint is poor accuracy and key-holeing of bullets on target, especially with the non-rifled "scavenger" variety.

There's another manufacturer (Short Lane) who makes RIFLED 410 to 9mm adapters, however a set of 5 is $300 USD and they're all sold out at the moment :

(Not worth it vs. the Shooter's Box non-rifled variety IMHO)

Those are smoothbore, not rifled like SR-45.
