I really hope these come in. Are you speaking about the whole rifle complete or just the folding stock itself?

Lol the 2 weeks are for the break and optic mount. They already said only way t81 regular rifles will be made is if they can piggy back off a military contract if there ever is one. If you're waiting for a fixed or folding non lmg, you're going to be waiting along time lol

I thought they were referring to bringing in the individual folding stock itself. An optic Mount would be great yeah I'm watching the drama on that.

Probably posting this for the twentieth time but for those who have a fixed stock rifle or LMG who want a folding stock, YouTuber Gnutzguy provides instructions in the below video how to modify an AK Magpul Zhukov folding variable length of pull stock to work on the Type 81 non-folders.

Ian at Forgotten Weapons bubbaed a folding stock from a Chinese made air gun that looks almost identical to the Type 81's folding stock variant to fit his custom short AK. If you could find a suitable donor, you may be able to mod that to fit a fixed stock Type 81.

Also be advised the slant mounts don't fit 2021 run guns, they have a different thread pitch

Any SN over 20202001 it will not fit

Would love a safety selector that’s not 180 deg.
Actually modified mine on my foldy to have a 90 degree throw. Fire-Safe-Safe.
You simply need to file down a landing perpendicular to the other two, on which the spring is resting. Bit of cold blue to protect it, and voilà!
I did it on my folder's safety so it wouldn't interfere with my side-mount solution.

Careful with that, the tripple throw is asking for an inspection.
