SOLD OUT: TYPE 81 SPECIAL EDITION -Shipment 2-

What's the price going to be on this 3rd batch?

Probably no way for TI to say that until the shipment is here. Shipping costs are probably still in flux after everything that has happened, and you never know if something else might be tacked on until the shipment arrives.

they already said they will hold the price. the following statement was made in january.

also altho shipping cost has rose significantly but according to this shipping link to BC its still pretty reasonable so divide the cost (in US$) by how many rifles can fit in a cargo container then add trucking to calgary . it wouldnt be much increase on per rifle bases.

Pricing will remain the same, despite increases from manufacturer and transport price increases :)

Is it possible to pre-order one?

no need to preorder, its only a month wait. there will be plenty cos the flippers wont be buying half a dozen this time, they dont wanna be caught when the turd's hammer come down, lol. thats what they were talking about feds black flag a few posts back.

About the same accuracy, but smaller and lighter package, plus mag feeding, adjustable gas block.
Overall, about the same nostalgic taste as an AK (the way I remember it from carrying it in my younger days :)
Accuracy about the same??? Lmao
T81s are way more accurate than sks period
Instead of having a 70 year old barrel your getting a brand new one!

The problem is that you cannot mount any optics on the type 81, not everybody is good with iron sights. Tacticalimports does no longer offer the rail for unknown reasons. From what I read, it was subpar. The SKS receiver is milled, the type 81 is stamped, very thin metal, you have to be concerned to break that thing when you dissemble it, the top rear cover is often bend and very cheaply made. The barrel on the SKS is excellent, even after 50 or 70 years. I only know of one case were it was bad because it was submerged in the ocean for 20 years. Optics mounts are readily available in many types and forms.
